Thomas Pilmaier

Thomas Joseph Pilmaier, 85, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born on April 7, 1930 in Dubuque, Iowa; the son of Carl and Laura (Schmitt) Pilmaier. Tom faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1952. He retired from Lowrance Electronics; working in maintenance. Tom was of Catholic faith and attended the St. Marks Catholic Church in Pryor. He looked forward to fishing, firearms and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed working with RC airplanes and was a lifelong car lover; especially models A's and restoring cars. He was a jack of all trades and could do anything that involved working with his hands. Thomas looked forward to watching Broncos Football; win or lose, he was a true fan. Tom leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the St. Marks Catholic Church in Pryor with Father John Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the Chouteau West Cemetery with Andrew Pilmaier, Jake Pilmaier, Matt Pilmaier, Chris Pilmaier, Bill Boyette and Mark Bair serving as pall bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2016 in the St. Marks Catholic Church in Pryor. Tom is survived by his sons, Jim Pilmaier of Pryor, Oklahoma and Dave and wife Deborah Pilmaier of Chouteau, Oklahoma; sister, Sister Mary Carl Loras of Dubuque, Iowa; 7 grandchildren, Andrew and Angela, Sarah, Jake, Matt, Katie, Chris and Lauren; 5 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Laura Pilmaier; his wife, Mary Pilmaier; brothers, John and Carl Pilmaier; and sisters, Mary Ann Roby and Theresa Janicek.
