Thomas Lee Proctor, 64, of Colcord, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on September 27, 1954 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma; the son of Cornelius L. and Louella (Bark) Proctor. In his early years, at Kansas High School, he was an all-district football player. Thomas first began his teaching career at Big Cabin Public Schools as the Art and History teacher and assistant coach for 2 years. He then taught at Salina Public Schools from 1981 to 2010, when he retired due to health. He was awarded Teacher of the Year twice. Thomas enjoyed working with all his students and continued friendships with many of his former students who kept in touch. He was proud of their accomplishments. Thomas married Karen Littledave on December 28, 1980 in Salina, Oklahoma. He also loved fishing, throwing horseshoes, and playing fast pitch softball and basketball. In retirement, he enjoyed Cherokee Singing, reading, and watching movies. Thomas was a member of the Steeley Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher and song leader and lived in the Delaware County all his life. He was always willing to do anything the Church needed in service to the Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Steeley Baptist Church in Kenwood, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Clouds Creek Cemetery with Travis Wolfe, Kyle Bark, Dino Kingfisher, Sequoyah Thompson, T.J. Cummings, and Mike Wolfe. Honorary casket bearers will be Doug Feeling and Alex Proctor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Thomas is survived by his wife, Karen Proctor of the home; son, Clint Proctor of Colcord, Oklahoma; daughter, Brandy Feeling and husband Doug Feeling of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; grandson, Kamden Feeling of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; brother, Ricky D. Proctor of Colcord, Oklahoma; sister, Clara B. Proctor of Colcord, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Louella Proctor and brother, A. Leon Proctor.
