Timothy Clark Bryant, 51, went to be with our Lord on Friday, March 28, 2014. Tim was born November 26, 1962 to Jerry Clark Bryant & Sharon (Burwell) Bryant. He grew up and attended school in Chouteau, Oklahoma. At age 17, Tim joined the United States Navy and served 4 years. During that time he was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, Brunswick, Maine and deployed to Reykjavik, Iceland twice, and traveled to Azores, composed of 9 volcanic islands situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, among other destinations. Tim was employed by ECF, Inc., St. Louis, Missouri, as the piping foreman and supervisor. They were on a job in Delaware at the time of his death. Tim loved to fish and the highlight of his 50th birthday was going to Morehead City, North Carolina on a surprise marlin fishing trip, arranged by his fiancée, Cindy. He didn't catch a marlin, but much to his delight, landed a sailfish that took 45 minutes to reel into the boat. After all his hard work, and by law, the fish had to be returned to the sea. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, and after living in the St. Louis area for several years, became a St. Louis Cardinals fan. One of his prized possessions was a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, purchased new by his father in 1966, and later passed down to Tim. He loved life, and made friends wherever he went. If Tim knew someone 10 minutes they were automatically his "friend." He loved fishing, cars, movies, cooking on the grill, OU football, and his dogs. Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 in the Chouteau First Baptist Church with Reverend Don Bendure officiating. Interment will be in the Chouteau North Cemetery with Wesley & Michael Perkins, Al Johnson, Dave Davis, Keith Baalmann, and Al Meitl serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Relevant Worship Baptist Church Building Fund, Claremore, Oklahoma, or to a charity of your choice. To leave his family a message, please visit his Book of Memories at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service.
