Timothy McGavock

Timothy Jack McGavock, 57, a beloved Son, Father, uncle, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend, departed this life on Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Inola, Oklahoma. He was born on January 26, 1964 in Bethany, Oklahoma to Jasper Jack and Patricia (Elledge) McGavock. Timothy has been a Mayes County resident for his whole life. Tim attended Locust Grove Public Schools from Elementary until his Senior year of High School. He graduated from Pryor High School with the class of 1982. After high school Tim went on to trade school in Tahlequah, OK as well as some computer classes at Rogers State College in Pryor, OK. Over the years, Timothy has held jobs running equipment. He worked for Martin Founders Service for 10 years. In his pastime, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching and working on equipment. One of his most proud accomplishments was digging a lake size pond for his family. Tim was a lover of exotic birds and animals and enjoyed breeding and raising them, he also enjoyed rebuilding computers, listening to music and singing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. Tim was funny, outgoing and humble. Appropriately nicknamed “Bionic Man” for in his short time on Earth he had endured so much and was still alive to tell his stories, he was fiercely loyal to his friends and family. We will always remember him as a loving father, a best friend, and a wonderful grandfather.  His presence in our lives will be sorely missed. When you think of Tim, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
