Tyson Cole Kegley, 24, of Pryor, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 in Tulsa. He was born on June 1, 1998 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Stace Kegley and Sharmie Bartgis. He was a 2017 graduate of Pryor High School and was attending Rogers State University to major in either graphics design or psychology. He loved painting and creating digital art. Tyson had a kind heart, loving personality and left an impact on every person that he came in contact with. He had a contagious smile and big dimples, that would leave a smile on the faces of all around him. He was concerned about the wellbeing of others and always wanted to make sure his family and friends were ok. He loved his siblings and loved spending time with them. Tyson loved music, especially classic rock and classic country. Tyson was a movie buff, and enjoyed all things Superman. He was a true trivia buff and looked forward to challenging his family with obscure tidbits. He also enjoyed the outdoors and spending quiet time on the front porch listening to tree frogs and cicadas. Tyson loved to travel and to explore new places. He had an ornery and playful sense of humor. Tyson was loved by many and even in his short lifetime, leaves behind so many memories and a positive impact on those he came in contact with. Tyson was a true treasure of a human being, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2022 in the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Pryor with Brother D.J. Castoe officiating. Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor.
