Varita Williamson, a beloved wife and dedicated homemaker, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 11, 2024 surrounded by her husband, sons, and grandchildren. She was born in Los Angeles, California on September 22, 1940. Varita's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family. She spent her days tending to them with love and care, embodying the true essence of selflessness and devotion. Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her enduring marriage to John Williamson, whom she married on February 9, 1962, at the Christ Community Church in California. Together, Varita and John celebrated 62 years of marriage this year, a testament to their enduring bond and deep love for each other. In addition to her role as a dedicated homemaker, Varita found joy in simple pleasures such as reading and studying the bible. She also took delight in providing children's books, spreading knowledge and imagination to young minds. Varita will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May Varita Williamson's legacy of love and selflessness continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

She is survived by her loving husband John Williamson and their children, David Williamson and wife Jennifer of Oregon, Greg Williamson and wife Sharron of Utah, and Mark Williamson and wife Melissa of California; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; along with many relatives and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.

Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of children’s books be brought to the funeral home to be donated to Varita’s favorite charity. To leave her family a message, please visit her Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service.
