Vickie Jo Walters

Vickie Jo Walters, 74, of Chouteau, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on August 10, 1948 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the daughter of Louie and Martha (Allen) Tatum. Vickie married Mike Walters on February 16, 1968 and have celebrated 54 years of marriage. She worked as a homemaker most of her life, always making sure her husband and children were taken care of. Vickie loved going to the casino, going shopping, and spending time gardening. She enjoyed a good Hallmark movie and looked forward to Christmas time with her family. Vickie also loved her grandchildren and enjoyed each moment she had to spend with them. She leaves behind many memories for her family to remember.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor with Pastor Barry Chupp officiating. Burial will follow in the Chouteau West Cemetery with her granddaughters, Mikala, Brittnee, Madison, Katlyn, Kelsey, and Keeli serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be her granddaughter, Myka. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Vickie is survived by her husband, Mike Walters of the home; son, Scott Walters and wife Tabatha of Cape Corral, Florida; daughters, Kim Wade and husband Ben of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Jennifer Arrowsmith and husband Charles of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother, Michael Tatum of Dallas, Texas; sister, Gale Taylor of Chouteau, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, Justin, Nicholas, Taylor, Kasen, Matthew, JT, Mikala, Keeli, Brittnee, Madison, Myka, Katlyn, Kelsey, Dylan, and Dalton; 7 great grandchildren, Zyla, Kensley, Kylie, Brinlee, Hallie, Michael Todd, and Mayson; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Martha Tatum, son in law, Todd Collins; nephew, Jason Taylor, and brother-in-law, Jim Taylor.
