Vickie "Tiny" Gorman

Vickie “Tiny” Sue Gorman, 71, of Inola, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 in Tulsa. She was born on January 31, 1948 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the daughter of John William and Maggie (Littledave) Markle. She worked as a hair stylist most of her life. She enjoyed working in her yard, always making sure that her lawn was perfectly manicured and tending to her flower garden. Vickie looked forward to holidays, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas, and family cookout, and anytime she could spend time with those she loved most. In her spare time, she liked to watch the ID Channel, watching crime and investigation television. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Inola and enjoyed attending services there. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in the Trinity Baptist Church in Inola, Oklahoma with Larry Dees officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery with Jeremy Armstrong, Nick Cooper, Kenny Markle, Wesley Armstrong, Justin Armstrong, and Nina Cooper serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Vickie is survived by her daughter, Terri Cooper and husband Nick of Inola, Oklahoma; son, James Armstrong of Inola, Oklahoma; brother, Willie Butch Markle and wife Debbie of Oaks, Oklahoma; sister, Betsy Young of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jeremy Armstrong and wife Stacey of Inola, Oklahoma, Candice Hobbs of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nina Cooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wesley Armstrong of Coweta, Oklahoma and Justin Armstrong of Coweta, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Catelyn, Jeffrey, Alexis, and Dalton Armstrong; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Maggie Markle, brother, William “Sonny” Markle, sisters, Zora Cupps, Paulene McMann, Mary Wagnon, and Rosella Morrison.
