Victor Morris

Victor Wayne Morris, 58, of Salina, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at his home in Salina. He was born to Leslie and Letha Morris on May 18, 1958 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Victor was united in marriage to Pamela Wakole on September 26, 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma. They were married for 35 years. He enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He graduated from Salina High School and attended Tulsa Welding School, Atchison Community College in Atchison, Kansas and also attended Pryor Vo - Tech. Victor worked as a welder for Commercial Fabricators, until his illness. He leaves behind many memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 in the New Jordan Church in Salina with Reverend Floyd Kingfisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Grass Cemetery with Justin Morris, Bryce Kingfisher, Ricky Morris, Johnny Morris, Taylor Morris and Treyton Morris serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Tony Morris, Jonathan Morris, Dylan Morris, Dawson Morris, Caleb Morris, Keaton Wilson and Kaden Wilson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, Sunday, September 18, 2016 in the Shipman' s Funeral Home Chapel. Victor is survived by his wife, Pamela Morris of the home; mother, Letha Morris of Salina, Oklahoma; aunt, Galila Johnson of El Reno, Oklahoma; uncles, John and Raymond Hair; son, Justin and Amelia Morris (Caleb and MaKayla) of Kenwood, Oklahoma; daughters, Sandra Morris (Bryce Kingfisher and Dawson Morris) of Pryor, Oklahoma, Mollie and Keith Wilson (Dylan, Keaton, Kaden) of Salina, Oklahoma; special white daughter, Christy Wilkerson (Robert) of Salina, Oklahoma; sister, Leslie Morris (Taylor, Treyton); brothers, Darrell Morris, Ricky Morris, and Tony Morris, Johnny and Lisa Morris (Jonathan) all of Salina, Oklahoma; sister in laws, Debra Wakole (Garland) of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Shirley Wakole of Stroud, Oklahoma, Georgia Wakole of Horton, Kansas, and Sally Wakole (Jim) of Horton, Kansas; brother in laws, Roderick Wakole (Marlene) of Horton, Kansas, Steven Wakole (Grace) of Horton, Kansas, and Byron Wakole (Priscilla) of Willis, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie Morris, brother in law, Richard Wakole, granddaughter, Mae Kenzie Rose Morris, and cousins, Richard and Joel Hair, and Michelle "Mushy" Mattwaoshshe.
