Wadie Proctor, 58, of Salina, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 in Salina. He was born on May 30, 1959 in Kenwood; the son of Roy and Ruffie (Wickliffe) Proctor. He attended Kenwood and Salina Schools and lived in the area all his life. He worked as a laborer for various companies and enjoyed working on cars. Wadie enjoyed fixing things and working with his hands on all kinds of vehicles. He also loved horses. Wadie enjoyed watching bull riding and rodeos and liked to watch westerns on television. When he was able, he looked forward to going fishing and going to the creek. Most of all, Wadie loved his grandchildren and enjoyed each moment he had to spend with them. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in the Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood with Reverend Larry Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow in the Euwasha Cemetery with James Buck, Jr., James Hunter Proctor, Clayton Proctor, Clinton Crittenden, Adam Proctor, and Nicholas Sharp serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Kamren Proctor, Mose Sanders, and Zeke Proctor. Visitation and Wake Service will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Wadie is survived by his sons; James Proctor and wife Kortney of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Clayton Proctor of Kenwood, Oklahoma; daughters, Crystal Tehee and husband John of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Jacki Sanders and husband John of Rogers, Arkansas; brothers, Jimmy Proctor of Salina, Oklahoma and Stanley Proctor and wife Amy of Kenwood, Oklahoma; sisters, Wanda Crittenden and husband Danny of Salina, Oklahoma, Janie Pape and husband Darren of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, Dollie Sharp and husband William of Kenwood, Oklahoma; uncle, Jimmy Wickliffe of Kenwood, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Zeke, Kadah, Maxlen, Kamren, Kolbie, Izabellah, Mose, and Journey; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruffie Proctor; brothers, Bud Proctor, Wiley Proctor, Billy Proctor, and Harold Proctor.
