Walter "Kit" Bingham

Walter “Kit” Bingham, 65, of Adair, passed from this life on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on August 1, 1955 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Walter Lee Bingham and Frances Bernice (Chaney) Peterson. Kit attended Claremore Sequoyah and graduated from there with the Class of 1973. Within that same year, he married his first love, Mary Ruth Eagle, and together they had their daughter, Aprill. He then married Teresa Bingham and had his second daughter, Courtney. Kit's daughters were the true joy of his life. In his pastime, he enjoyed woodworking and working with his hands. Many would say he was a big teddy bear who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Kit was a free spirit and lived life in the moment. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Kit will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Kit is survived by his daughters, Aprill Mallory of Langley and Courtney Bingham of Claremore; brother, Randy Bingham and wife Monica of Adair; sister, Rhonda Bingham of Adair; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bernice.
