Wanda Mae Jones, 71, of Pryor, went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 14, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on January 18, 1951, in Kearney, Nebraska; the daughter of Louis Lee Jones and Effie (Page) Jones. At the age of 5, Wanda and her family moved to Locust Grove, where she attended school until the 9th grade and ultimately graduated from Pryor High School. Wanda went to work for Norit and worked there for over 34 years and retired from there. She took great pride in working with the Make A Wish Foundation as a wish granter and enjoyed making children’s dreams come true. Wanda was a hard worker; she took great pride in her home and her yard. She cherished spending time with the people she loved many of which were friends who Wanda considered her family. She was a world traveler and would go on at least one cruise a year. She was one of a kind and leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish.

Funeral services for Wanda will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Tugmon officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Flinten Jones, Chad Rohr, Gunner Rohr, Fred Boyd, Federico Claudio, and Todd Arlt serving as casket bearers. Wanda is survived by her nephew, Flinten Jones and wife Fer; niece, Kristen Rohr and husband Chad; great niece and nephew, Jordan and Gunner Rohr; adopted family, Billy and Darlene Tugmon, Danny and Terri Tugmon, and Diana Gentile. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Effie; siblings, Chester Jones and Juanita Blevins; and nieces, Katrina and Talena Jones.
