Wanda Redden

November 28, 1927 — September 15, 2010

Wanda L. "Jamsie" Nickle Redden was born November 28, 1927 In Wagoner. She has joined her heavenly family, husband Gene R. Redden, parents Florence and Dirl Nickle, and step-grandson Jerry J. Campbell. Jamsie was a graduate of Inola High School. She got her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Northeastern State University. While in college, she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority, as well as a member of the NSU Band, the tennis team, and the Methodist organization the Wesley Guild. Jamsie was married to Gene R. Redden for 25 years. She taught school for 37 years. She taught in Claremore, Moore, and Norman, but most of her years teaching were spent at Roosevelt School in Pryor. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church as well as a member of the Methodist Women, Chapter EU of P.E.O., and the Challenger Sunday School class. She was also on the cemetery board for 15 years. She leaves behind to miss her greatly her sister Mary Stacy, Mary's husband Bub Stacy (both of Wagoner), nephew Evert D. "Chip" Stacy (of Wagoner), great-nieces Nicole Stacy (of Wagoner) and Shelly Stacy (of Canon City, CO), great-great-nephew Dean Epperson (of Canon City, CO), niece Jamielu Stacy Miller, her husband Bradley Miller, and great nephew Brandon Joe Miller, all of Tulsa. Also a step-daughter, Jantha Campbell, and her husband Edward Campbell of Pryor, grandchildren Joseph B. Campbell of West Palm Beach, FL and Jerry J. Campbell who preceded her in death in 1985. Step-son Robert H. Redden and wife M. Claire Redden from Broken Arrow, granddaughter Michelle and husband Troy Totten from Broken Arrow, and great-granddaughter Corrin R. Totten. Step-daughter Mary Jean Blankenship and husband Jim Blankenship from Yukon and grandsons Jason Blankenship and Brian Blankenship (both of Oklahoma City), step-son Roger C. Redden and his wife Dana Redden of Oklahoma City, and grandson James Redden and granddaughter Mary Kate Redden, also of Oklahoma City. The celebration of Jamsie's life will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Pryor on Friday, September 17th at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel in Pryor.
