Wayne Scroggins

Wayne Scroggins 32, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, August, 28, 2010. Wayne was born on March 14, 1978 at Pryor, Oklahoma the son of Junior and Kathy Scroggins. He married Lura Lee on December 22, 1995 at Miami, Oklahoma. Wayne was an avid hunter, enjoying everything outdoors, especially deer hunting. He also enjoyed working on motors, playing horseshoes and cards with his family and friends. Wayne's friends were a very big part of his life and he dearly loved spending time with each and every one of them. He enjoyed telling stories and really getting into telling the story. He loved his horses and dogs. Wayne dearly loved Lura, Courtney, Harley, and all his family and dear friends. He will be so very missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife Lura of the home; 2 daughters, Courtney Cheyenne and Harley Eleanor Scroggins also of the home; his parents, Junior and Kathy Scroggins of Salina, OK; 1 sister, Katrina Morton and her husband Brandon of Coweta, OK; his mother and father-in-laws, Stanley and Ronda Lee of Pryor, Oklahoma; his uncle, Darrell Sitsler of Salina, OK; his niece and nephew, Sydney and Cruz Morton of Coweta, OK; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church of Salina, with Tommy Parker officiating. Interment will be in the Ross-Mayes Cemetery at Salina, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will include Chris White, Will Sizemore, Clyde Still, Ray Davis, Derrick Davis, D. J. Sitsler, Matt Cortese, and Shane Ray. Honorary casket bearers will include Justin Pritchett, Johnny Still and Randy Chuckluck. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
