Willard Buchanan

Willard D. Buchanan, 80, of Pryor, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born on October 6, 1935 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma; the son of Riley Buchanan and Annie Edwards. He went to school in Pryor, Oklahoma. Willard married Mirietues Davis on February 11, 1956 in Reno, Nevada. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Marines. Willard worked and owned Buchanan Tires and was a member of the Pryor Creek Lodge #100 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He loved camping and being outdoors. Willard was considered a Jack of all Trades, being able to do many things. He loved his family and will be very missed by his family, friends and co workers. Services for Willard will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Willard is survived by his Wife, Mirietues Buchanan; sons, Riley and wife Maribe Buchanan of Ocala, Florida, Willard Jr and wife Charlotte Buchanan of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother, D.W. and wife June Buchanan of Las Vegas Nevada; sister, Virginia Hale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Seven Grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Annie Buchanan.
