William David Baker, 65, of Chouteau, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 20123 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born to Owen and Ruth Baker in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 12, 1948. He lived his life following the call of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ since age 21. While in the ministry, he met his wife and soul mate, Jody Leslie in Salina, Kansas and they wed on May 21, 1977. For over 40 years, he dedicated his life to fulfilling the will of God, teaching and mentoring the hearts and souls of countless individuals. Regardless of nationalities, personal beliefs, or class of living, David shared his knowledge, love and compassion to all that crossed his path. Creating a legacy of Truth, he founded and directed International Word Fellowship, from which his ministry reached all over the world. Establishing Bible Schools and Pastoral conferences, his ministry grew to a great success and as a result creating defining moments in the lives of millions. David was a very unique individual with a strong sense of integrity, honor, quality, and loyalty. He loved to laugh and with a sense of humor that was all his own, he was able to share his joy with everyone he came into contact with. His true passion was helping and protecting those he held most dear, and none were more important than his wife Jody, mother Ruth, Son Tye, daughter Josie, grandson Kayden, and his granddaughter Jaiden. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Word Fellowship Church in Chouteau, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his father, one aunt and an infant sister.
