William Markle

William Patrick Markle, 73, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on March 17, 1945 in Claremore, Oklahoma the son of J. W. Markle and Maggie (Littledave) Markle. William worked as a trucker for Midwest Trucking for many years. He married Susan Harris on February 10, 1990 and Charleston, South Carolina. He loved driving his truck. William enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing whenever he could. His favorite times were when he could play games with his grandkids and just be with his family. He was a member of the Coo-Y-Yah Baptist Church. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Coo-Y-Yah Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Neeley officiating. Interment will be in the Grass Cemetery with Kenny Markle, John Markle, William Markle, Jesse James, Truman Marle and Jasper Harris serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Kevin Markle, James Armstrong, Josh Atkins, Justin Armstrong, Jeremy Armstrong and Bobby Powell. He is survived by his wife, Susan of the home; his sons, John and wife, Jennifer Marle of Pryor, OK, Kevin and wife, Lynette Marle of Tulsa, OK, William and wife, Nancy Marle of Pensacola, OK and Patrick Markle of Sapulpa, OK; his daughters, Kim and husband, Tony Yarbro of Tulsa, OK, Merrie Hontz of Georgia and Jennifer Edwards of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Willie and wife, Debbie Markle of Twin Oaks, OK and Robert Markle of Chelsea, OK; two sisters, Betsy Young of Moore, OK and Vickie Gorman of Inola, OK; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his parents, J.W. and Maggie Markle; and three sisters.
