William Scribner

July 16, 1940 — December 24, 2020

William Oscar Scribner, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Nowata, Oklahoma. He was born on July 16, 1940 in Bushyhead, Oklahoma; the son of William Arthur Scribner and Corda Augusta (Morey) Scribner.  He faithfully served his country in the United States Army.  William worked for Dresser/Ingersoll Rand as a maintenance mechanic for many years. William was a wonderful father and grandfather and loved all the time he could spend with his family.  He enjoyed watching western movies and was the best storyteller.  He later in life worked as a door greeter for Walmart in Claremore, Oklahoma.  He leaves many wonderful memories for each one to cherish.

He is survived by his daughter, Meagan and husband, James Stacy of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kayde Stacy, Niko Stacy, Rowen Stacy and Johnathon Stacy; brother, Ralph Scribner and wife, Alberta of Grove, OK; Meagan’s mother, Julia Scribner of Pryor, OK; step children, Kim Mowery and husband Steve of Westville, OK and Michael Connelly and wife, WynDe of Lakeland FL; step grandchildren, Matthew and Christi Czapansky of Spokane, WA, and Jacob Czapansky and Robin of Seattle, WA; great grandchild, Lucas Czapansky of Spokane, WA; many other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Corda Scribner; 4 sisters, Dorothy, Doris, Marie; and an infant sister; and 2 brothers, Kenneth and Paul.
