Wilma Odle

Wilma Leora Odle, 82, of Salina, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Pryor. She was born on March 20, 1934 in Murphy, Oklahoma; the daughter of Ora Linwood and Lyda Mae (Frazier) Layton. She married Charles Odle on May 13, 1956 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Wilma was a homemaker most of her life, enjoying the time she spent raising her children and spending time with those who mattered most to her. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her flower garden. She was a wonderful lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Junior Mullin officiating. Come and Go visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Wilma is survived by her son, Wendell Odle and wife Nora of Salina, Oklahoma; daughters, Brenda Henning of Salina, Oklahoma and Charlene Barclay and husband John of Chetopa, Kansas; brother, Acy Layton and wife Faye of Pryor, Oklahoma; sisters, Athalee Burkett and husband Bob of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Martha Odle and husband Clarence of Pryor, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Odle, brother, Emery Layton; and sisters, Latha Young, Inez McCarty, and Evylene Holt.
