Wilma Surine

Wilma Ruth Surine, 71, of Adair, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2014 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born on March 23, 1943 in Vinita, Oklahoma; the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Wood) Surine. Wilma graduated with her Master's Degree in Education from Northeastern State University, and worked as an Elementary School Teacher in Adair, Salina and Braman. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Wilma was a member of the Adair Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to each moment she had to spend with them. Wilma leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in the Adair Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Wilma is survived by her brother, Charles and wife Karen Surine of Chouteau, Oklahoma; sister, Wanda and husband Luther Sager of Adair, Oklahoma; 2 nephews, Norman Sager of Adair, Oklahoma and CE Surine of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; niece, Gayle Clanin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and great niece, Emma Sager of Adair, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mildred Surine, and niece, Jennifer Surine.
